Kyosho Scorpion Goes Mad in the Woods! The Legendary RC Buggy Rides Again!

Hi and welcome to only the second run that this iconic RC - the Kyosho Scorpion - has had! We took it to the local woods and gave it a damn good thrashing - but she just kept coming back for more! I'm still amazed at how well this ancient design performs, it's agile and as hard as nails, plus it just looks so blooming gorgeous! She's pretty quick too on that Tamiya Torque Tuned Motor and just a NiMh battery!

Many thanks to my best mate, Rob of @robbrennanrc for sharing the driving and filming of this one. How he kept the Scorpion in-shot every time over that tree-root-jump, I'll never know!

PS. Sorry about my feet in this one, I just couldn't keep out of shot and hit that jump because the tree was blocking my view! Cheers!

What a great video. The gearing in this must be pretty intense. I don't think I've ever seen a tyre balloon with a brushed motor and NiMh battery before @3:09. Very impressive.

What fun thats a grand buggy bashing spot you got there, perfect terrain for that iconic Kyosho!
I'm really Suprised at how well these 'vintage' legendary series cars still perform after all these years, it really gives credit to how well they were designed way back performance, durability and stunning looks.
Rob got some awesome footage captured there, especially the full forward flip off the tree root at 2.46!

Great video Mark. This Kyosho backs up the good looks with some classic rc punch. Nice filming too…I noticed the shadow Mark using a gopro upside dowm on a selfie-stick. It’s a great way to catch some action 👍🏾👍🏾
