Mike I really appreciate your videos and content and your enthusiasm for the contemporary Genesis/Mega Drive scene. I also have purchased everything PSCD has released and they have always delivered their products, as described, in a timely manner.


All that being said; this is the, not second, but third time PSCD has been involved in some sort of dispute with a game creator. There was the whole ordeal with Hunter Girls. Before that, Fight for Vengence was released successfully but the game's creator also expressed grievances with PSCD. It's gotten to the point where any reasonable person is going to start wondering if one of two things is happening here:

Either A: PSCD games is not doing a good job of vetting the people they collaborate with or B: there is actually something wrong with the way they handle business with the creators of these games. I really do hope it's A. I love the company and really do want to see PSCD continue to publish games. Hell, I want as many companies as possible to continue making these games and see this scene thrive.

Both parties need to come to the table and make a good faith negotiation. It really is in the interest of everyone, including PSCD and the creator. It's also in the interest of the whole contemporary Genesis/Mega Drive scene. Stuff like this makes people lose faith in not just these two parties, but the smaller creators who make these products as a whole.

On the Kickstarter page, the OG publisher is claiming that PSCD did get their money (though they have not done anything at this point to prove that assertion).

That sucks. I really feel for PSCD as the work they do is stellar, and they always deliver. Game Energy should be ashamed of themselves, but sadly, a few rotten apples always spoil the bunch, and many get tarred with the same brush. I think id rather buy straight from PSCD themselves from now on.

I think the "Sanctions" is the reason why they had to go through Energy studio. Also When it comes to Watermelon I know they will deliver it will just take them probably 6 to 8 years to do it.

Good thing you mentioned Watermelon. I remember they got all the praise for the first one they released in 2010 ''Pier Solar'' but the second one ''Paprium'' that scamming company just kept everybody's money and stopped mailing out copies of the game. No offence to anyone here but I would never back any project on Kickstarter.

Garbage and money hungry people are everywhere, but they do not belong in this passion driven hobby. I'm going to ask for refund and will for sure buy the game from them, like I did with Hunter Girls. Maybe next time they could just open a preorder on their site.
