I am going to take the time to thank you for doing this video. I had this phone in College and tried to replace it but never could I ever find it. You are right there are 2 lights. The bottom one went first so maybe its just the manufacturers issue. I used that phone until there was just the motherboard attached to a partial semblance of a phone and that speaks volumes to its durability and how much I loved it. I think I was extra happy to talk to people when using that phone. You really put a smile on my face. Thanks.

Ah yes my grandma had this phone and handed it down to me. Transparent but the only thing is it's branded by FunPhone and the model is "Metrolight"

Fun to see this phone again, but you should trim your nails since they feature prominently in the video!

The light inside the base of the phone appears to be neon, but I'm only basing that on what I see in the video. I'd think with 90VAC it should light it up. Regardless, the switch hook that gets stuck can likely be oiled or greased, which will likely solve the problem of it getting stuck. Or it may be that the clear case around it has too tight of a tolerance around the switch hook, and if that's the case you should be able to enlarge it ever so slightly using a grinding stone on a Dremel tool. A steady hand and slow speed will prevent distortion of the clear plastic.
