Three takeaways from Harris’s first MAJOR interview

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared Thursday in her first major interview since President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race. Harris sat for the CNN interview alongside her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D).

It was a much-anticipated conversation, given that Harris has yet to lay out an extensive policy agenda and given the dearth of questions she has answered during her five-plus weeks as the Democratic standard-bearer.

I hate to say this but, while I disagree with her policies and view on Israel and Palestine we cannot have everything we want in one candidate. Not yet.
The two parties are way too separated and hostile.
And on top of that we cannot expect a politician to agree with us on EVERY social talking point.

What’s important is she is willing to hear others out and work to make our rights in the US more concrete and more protected as a whole.
Not to mention her running mate who agrees with us on many of our biggest gripes with the country.

My thought is “what good would we do for Palestine if our country was no longer free?”

Folks should just watch the interview. Pretty much every answer included some nuance... Except just ignoring Trump's "she turned Black" nonsense.

Honestly a little disappointing counting ut wasnt live. She had all the time in the world and still didnt really answer most of the question.

I think she needs to stop softballing the Israel issue, because they are committing atrocities.
However, she chose her word carefully "Israel's defense"... that leaves plausible deniability later when the hammer has to come down to say that they went beyond defense.

Not an allegation, she changed her policies immediately upon being appointed as the candidate and even is trying to run on things like removing tip tax when she voted to approve taxes on tips. And her not actually answering a question or having a response is completely up her alley and unacceptable.
