"Boss Mechanics & Location" and u don't show Location...

I went to fight him at gear level 28. I just stated to fight him before day (first time at camp so didn't know what to expect, wasted a lot of time fighting the mobs) I ended up having to fight him in the shades half. I ended up dying for the first time because I aggro'd some mobs that were patrolling. I had almost killed him as well. Going to wait outside the camp till night then go back and beat him.

I take it we're supposed to use the armour to pop his mines?
