Are you getting a discounted TESLA?!
7-seat model isn't available on the Model Y Perf. but on the MYLR. I had MYP selected in the builder, that's why 7 seat option didn't load.

Demands drops ‼️⁉️ 😳
In Lisbon, Portugal it's annoying to see so many Teslas Y and 3 almost 3 by 3 minutes ‼️

Okay. Two things. I don't like that you have to do almost every function by the big screen. And still NO CARPLAY OR ANDROID AUTO...Just my two cents...

I’m hoping this puts a knife in those dealer markups, especially on the brands that don’t qualify for the EV rebates. Competition is good for consumers.

Hi Kirk, I have never owned a premium car brand before. Always had Hondas and I lost my CRV a year ago in a minor accident and yes I have ordered a Model Y and I have never sat in any Tesla so far! Crazy things are happening at the moment. This is one of them. I was considering to buy a 2023 CRV Sport Touring but with 6k more I jumped into Tesla bandwagon!! Sorry Honda

What about the individual freedoms of people to not want to be forced by others to breath in their exhaust fumes or forced to hear you reving your engine to 6000 RPM just cause?
I don't understand the whole "Personal Freedom" thing because every time the people pushing it fail to see for their choices take away the choices of others or cause them harm.

It makes total sense that Tesla would have to drop the price on the 3 and Y to "normal" levels. The price was greatly inflated due to high demand and supply chain issues but now the price is back to where it should be. I don't thank it's a bargain but it's a fair price compared to other EVs that are either already on the market or soon to be on the market. Qualifying for the fed tax credit is a huge plus and few other makes and models currently qualify for this perk. Nice to see EVs becoming more affordable.

By cutting prices on the M3 and MY this much, it’ll make it much tougher on Tesla to enjoy the “industry leading” margins that they are often spoke about having.

What I’m gathering from these price cuts is that competitors from China and SK are coming and starting to chip away at Teslas market share.

The quandary that Tesla finds itself in is that by selling a M3 at 43k and a MY at 53k, they risk losing money on the majority of their sales. Of course, the gussied up models will make them money, but I see things being difficult for them once some of the Asian brands put cheaper options onto the market.

People will find out quickly that Teslas supercharger network is killing it for now. Other networks are just not reliable for now. Agree - no fan of a carbon neutral future.

Canada is trying to ban ICE cars by 2035. With how cold the climate can be, something like a Tesla could lose 15-20% charge in a night. Not everyone will have access to chargers at their house either, so if you don't go out for a few days, your car goes kaput. There's little forward thinking from these politicians in their policies.

I think it'd be even worse if you brought them up to the territories far north, where sometimes they leave their diesels running over night to keep them warm.

This is great news, we need more affordable EV's. The great part is, Tesla makes more profit per car than anyone else so they can do this and still remain strong. I am sure the overall slow economies post Covid and new rebate changes are also part of it.

The price is down .... Yeah! I checked model Y, and the price was lower, $70K-ish with all equipped versions. The upcoming made in USA new Genesis GV70 EV-SUV is about the same price. GV70 EV is very fancy and luxurious. S. Korean reviewers said EV70 EV has a more comfy and soft ride than the Tesla Model Y. I agree with Kirk. It is all because of EV competition in the market. That's a good thing. Speaking of EV, Mercedes officially announced that they will end the EQ series by the end of 2024. A name change could be made? Or is something else new, Mercedes BEV?

Not so sure about a decrease in demand Kirk. Yes there is stock but I believe some people held off buying until 2023. Also look at their prices before the big increase because of demand, I believe for model 3 and Y the price is a little more now than back then. They were making 30% margins on their cars. Production is increasing and the long term plan was always to lower prices. I think 1 in 16 cars sold in US was a Tesla last year. I’m going to look back over that number. Have a great weekend.
