Lindsay Lohan Arrested in NYC!

Just days after slamming the court system for not sending Amanda Bynes to jail, Lindsay Lohan might be putting her foot in her mouth.
The actress was arrested early Wednesday morning in New York City for hitting a pedestrian with her vehicle in front of the Dream hotel... and then leaving the scene of the accident.
The incident occurred around 2:30 AM according to TMZ.
The victim was a Manhattan chef named Jose Rodriguez -- and he's speaking out on his side of the story. He told The New York Daily news that Lindsay QUOTE: "smelled like alcohol real bad..." and added ""I was in so much pain ... I fell to the side."
Rodriguez also says he was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for torn tendons -- and claims doctors gave him morphine to deal with the pain.
Now, Lindsay's side of the story is MUCH different. she says Rodriguez is making the whole thing up, that she was set-up and claims she didn't hit anyone this morning.

Cops say they don't believe Lohan was drunk at the time of the arrest -- however Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly admitted Lindsay did not take a breathalyzer test.
Also, as Lindsay was taken into custody she frantically screamed, QUOTE: "Call my dad! Call my dad!"

TMZ reports Linds was booked for leaving the scene of an accident -- a misdemeanor -- and then released with a desk appearance ticket ... meaning she did NOT have to pay bail before release.

So what does this all mean? Basically, that it could trigger a probation violation in Lindsay's jewelry theft case because one of the conditions of probation is must obey all laws.
