Lamai Beach stretches for several km on Koh Samui's east coat. Lots of hotels and restaurants face up on the beach which is made of very course large sand grains. Very painful to walk on for great distances. You can walk almost the full length - there is the occasional small outlet you need to cross.
Lamai Viewpoint is a great spot to grab some lunch, as its perched atop one of the hills overlooking the Lamai coast.
