There's a lot more to see and do in Agra besides the Taj Mahal! I've been to the Taj Mahal at least 5 times so this time in Agra I decided to stay as far away from it as possible and explore a side of Agra most tourists don't see - but should!

I lived in Agra for several years and have been coming (for work) to India since 1990. Now my business is more concentrated in China and I live in Indonesia. Sometimes I miss India/Agra as I have very good memories! Hard working and friendly people and the food is amazing even de food in the Dhaba is nice! The only thing that could be better is to clean the city and reduce the smog but hey, it is a big city with lots of industries so not that easy!

As an Iranian it is so amazing to see the taj mahal, baby taj and the chini ka roza have distinct Persian architectural influences as well as Ram Bagh which is Persian for domestic garden and the Mughal-Persian fusion makes these places just awe inspiring and jaw dropping. Agra is definitely on my bucket list!

Brought back alot of memories. I studied at the University of Madras and stayed with my uncle in the early 90's. We used to go to Delhi every month to visit more relatives. I'm from Malaysia, mum is from India. I bought alot of leather products in Agra and the marble model of the Taj Mahal still sits next to my computer.
