This was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for this. I feel very fortunate to be an artist living at a time where such helpful information is so readily available via the Internet.

Dear Dianne, I am so grateful to you for your quick tips and videos. I am a novice painter and have tried many teachers. You are miles above the others, especially due to your logical presentations and gentle voice! I feel so hopeful when I finish a lesson that I can learn to be a painter. Thank you for sharing your talent and inspiration! Bonnie

This is actually probably one of the most informative painting tutorials I’ve watched on YouTube

Hi Dianne! I'm about to tackle my first nocturne and found your QT. Thank you so much for this roadmap!! I loved watching this scene develop and the thought process behind how to approach it. The little study itself was beautiful, and I'm excited to try mine now. Thank you again for these helpful tools! 😊

I loved how you created this night scene from a daylight scene, Dianne! Thank you, as always, Julie

I watched this wonderful lesson this morning with my first coffee and it has been a great way to start my day. Fresh eyes and ears inspired by your explanation of the intrigue of nocturnes. Nocturnes are the monthly topic of my pastel teacher and she recommended to all to watch this video. I have been a subscriber to your channel for awhile and am trying to watch everything you have on youtube. The relevance to pastel is excellent and I always learn from you. Thank you so very much!

Thank you so much. I have always been drawn to the sense of of loneliness, mystic, and muted colors that Edward Hopper evokes in his nocturnal paintings.

This quick tip just made my day, or should I say my night? This is the best video I've seen so far on how to get started. You covered exactly what I was hoping to do--turn a day scene into night. Thank you!

This was absolutely what I needed. In a few hours, I’m planning on setting up to paint the full moon tonight. I also loved it because she reminded me of my granny😂❤️

You give such good tips and your voice is so relaxing as I dose off to sleep watching. I do a lot of mental painting in my head as a newer self taught artist (5 yrs)

Dianne this night scene is perfect, very nice. Spot on and very real looking for such a small painting. You captured the way the moonlight looks when it hits the grass . I've always loved the way the natural world looks in the woods at night where the only light is the moon. You captured this simply and perfectly. Many thx, and well wishes for you continued work.

This was the first video I clicked on for a nocturnal painting- and it was EXTREMELY helpful!! I’m having people in my night scene (inspired by a book) and I want them illuminated by the meteors that’s above them. Which is a bit of a challenge for me, especially since I’ve never done a night painting. This helps a lot thank you!!
