I just bought mine for an equivalent of 5 bucks, and coming off a thick 4mm mousepad, this is nice

Logitech should start making mousemats with stitched edges. The top layer always seems to peel off around the edges after a while.

This one is actually the best mousepad i've used, and this comes from someone who owns a Hayate otsu. 1 )Because this mousepad is so small, is very hard to have slow spots on it because you use the whole mousepad, so the whole mousepad gets slower overtime which will not make it as inconsistent as other would be with time. I've used one for 8 years and no slow spots. 2) Is so freaking cheap. Yes artisan pads have very good quality, but they are expensive. Even if you don't like that its gets slower with time, you can buy one 240 every 5 months, and in two years you would spend 50 euros. I'm not saying you should but that just shows how cheap it is.
