I saw this last week and honestly these two together are completely outstanding

I like how she is keeping to score with the occasional riff here and there, it's healthier for her voice in the long run and keeps the show how the composer intended it to be.

In our performance she riffed “find Meee” “to fly” “solo” “how I” and the final Belt. She keeps her riffs for Saturdays. She IS AMAZING. And so nice at stage door! So modest and thankful.

The really good thing about Nikki is that so far she Is not riffing all the time. She’s less than a month into her lead so I’m pretty sure these will come in time. Look at Alice Fearn, when she was standby and even the first weeks she was lead she wasn’t pulling out the riffs straight away. But look how she evolved! I think people associate the number of riffs an Elphaba does with how much effort they are putting in....I’m sure Nikki Bentley is giving her all!!

If she started off doing a ridiculous amount of riffs, people would say she’s copying Alice Fearn, give her a chance to become her own

You know what? Maybe she does sound a bit like Idina in this recording, but I don’t think that’s useless or boring, I think that’s wicked !

She sounds a bit like Emma Hunton in the Line something has changed within me
