Precis idea

In this Lecture Sir Riaz Nadeem delivered the practical guidelines on English Precis for all level students. He has explained that this is a practical operation that can not be done in the mind and it should always be in four to five steps. First, it is explained practically how a para should be skimmed and scanned. Then put forth the idea of making points from the para, then after making a rough draft to finalize the para with a beauty of creativity. The Precis is one-third of a paragraph with original sense and language quality is never compromised. At the start, he explained the basic steps of a precis like it should be precise para starting with topic sentence. Then it should be in indirect speech. furthermore, a precis should be without extra examples and all the ideas should be coherent. Any idea from the candidate should not be added to the precis para. Then a title should be the main idea of the para. In the later part of this video, Sir Riaz has explained the qualities of a good precis like Clear, coherent, concise, correct, and complete.
