Even with Shead's injury near the END of the 1st half, Houston would have won had they made their free throws. They are dreadful at the stripe. A team doesn't win championships if they can't hit free throws. End of story.

Unfortunately, the National ranking polls are not a match to this teams play, they look slow, tired, and confused- they were lucky to get past A&M, you’ll never win or make it to the final 4 when your team is hinged on one player or defense alone.

Holding “that team” to 54 points, the same team that held all three opponents under 60 this tournament. Vermont averaged 70, JMU 80 throughout the season. No respect at all for Duke in his speech.
When Coach K lost to Mercer, he went and congratulated them to their faces in the locker room. Different levels of class.

I think he's a good dude, but Hurley deserved it more. Lost 3 starters from last year championship team, won their early season tournament, only 3 regular season loses, won the Big East regular season and tournament, and back in the final 4.
