My dad used to be one of the little guys in the crosswalk buttons. You really need to start treating them with respect. They are service workers just like anyone else.

For all the little kids asking, yes there is a man inside the pole, he sits in a room that’s underneath the pole every time you press that button it beeps red, so he has to put on his mic and say wait, and if you push the button to many times he gets pissed off.
