HELLENIC CABLES Skiathos Interconnection

The Greek island of Skiathos is now connected to the mainland via a subsea cable ensuring energy security, as well as contributing to the reduction of energy costs and the carbon footprint of the country as a whole. The project includes the design and production of approximately 30 km of 150 KV submarine cable, 150kV underground cables, underwater installation of the submarine cable at a depth of about 200 meters, installation of land cables, protection of the submarine cable across the entire length at sea bottom as well as protection of the underground cables on land, connection of the submarine and land cables in the landing areas and their termination for the connection of the submarine cable system to the 150 KV national Transmission System in the area of Mantoudi, Evia island.
