Parietal Cell: Gastric Acid Production

The Parietal Cell resides in the lining of your stomach and is responsible for producing stomach acid. This animation walks the viewer through the intracellular mechanisms and the molecular movements required for the parietal cell to pump hydrochloric acid into the stomach lumen.

it is awesome to consider how our body works at this level. I'm very impressed with this animation.
I love learning how all this works. Unfortunately my Doc says I have anti-parietal cell antibodies, which, apparently, is some kind of auto-immune thing that means my body destroys itself and this, apparently, leaves me short of vitamin K2 which leads to other problems.
I'm trying to understand these things myself, but it is rather complex and it is great to see models like this as it helps. I still find it very complicated, but I like watching it and trying to follow what is going on.
