There is a big difference between firing your head coach cause the player asked you to AND firing the head coach because he isn’t working out.

But what’s hard to figure out is if Durant’s play is the reason for their losses. Statistically he looks pretty good, but on the court he looks like he’s trying to do too much and not trusting anyone.

Nash is a pass first player and a pass first coach. Kyrie and KD are you are going to have to pry this ball from my cold dead hands types of players.

Nash could be a great coach but no coaching experience in college or in the NBA even as an assistant and no work in a front office. He was bound to fail. They won because he had KD but if you put him on a rebuilding team I doubt he wins even 10 games. Just because you were a great playmaker doesn't mean you're going to jump into coaching with zero experience and have a good system. He's going to get his chance again some day but he should really try to become an assistant under someone like Pop or Monty Williams. And maybe give collegiate or hs coaching a try for a season or two. Even a small program. That's how Pop started out.
