For this specific problem, you can actually use the scalar method which makes this problem way less tedious. You can do this because the rods are all parallel to the x, y, and z axes. The hardest part would then be determining the two forces given in cartesian coordinates. You can still apply the vector analysis method but it's more time-consuming and has a higher probability of error.
