I love the mix and match. Doing that for my own wedding because everyone is a different size. What looks good on someone petite and slim may not be the same on taller, curvier bodies. And, vice versa.

Apparently I was ahead of my time. I got married in '04 and other than a color scheme as a guideline (fall colors for an october wedding) I let my bridesmaids pick out their own dresses. They looked lovely in orange, gold, bronze, and maroon.

this is so on point! I was a junior bridesmaid in my aunt's wedding in 1998 and wore a very similar nineties dress in sky blue. When I was a bridesmaid in 2010 we all wore matching strapless cocktail dresses. The last wedding I attended in 2015, we all wore different dresses that we were able to choose, but all in the same plum color. You can really see the trends change with the decade. I wonder what'll be next.

I love the 40s pale pink! With the flowers in the hair too it looks so sweet. All the models kind of fit with the era they represented too haha. 40s and 50s were my favorites.

On strapless dresses in the 2000's : '' the look was solidified by films like my big fat greek wedding''. There was not one dress in the movie that was strapless. The bride wore sleeves and the bridesmaids wore (ugly 80's style) halter dresses
