We felt this before Ukraine, but let's act like we don't know that...

Remember when the government told us retirement is a 3 legged stool consisting of social security, savings, and a pension? Inflation will kick that stool out from under our elders, and they will be living in our basements. Think about that.

I've noticed 25% to 100% increase in product prices....not sure where 7% came from. The paper plates we would buy sometimes were $2.48, now $5, the drink I would buy was $1.50, now $2, another multi-pack drink I would buy was $2.89, now $3.29, these are much more than small increase, have even noticed price increases on the most random things possible.

Our "expert" economists think inflation doesn't matter as long as the country can afford to pay for it.
Well "experts", we little people are the country, and we can't afford to pay for it.
Inflation is caused by the government printing money. It has nothing to do with Ukraine. But hey, we tried to warn you. Let's go Brandon!

Brandon just started his second year and he's already destroyed the economy.

I don't care what it cost, as long as there's 10% for the big guy.

Please have the person who came up with the 7.5% inflation publish a list of where he/she shops for daily necessities because I, for one, would like very much to shop at these places. Because the places that I have been going to lately averages about 15%.

Workers are not losing ground due to inflation. They're losing ground because they lack bargaining power.
Even though the economy grew last year, the share going to workers continues to shrink.
Inflation isn't the problem. The problem is worker exploitation and corporate greed.
If markets were competitive, companies would keep their prices down in order to prevent competitors from grabbing away customers. But they’re raising prices even as they rake in record profits. How can this be? The answer is they have so much market power they can raise prices with impunity.
The underlying problem is not inflation. It’s lack of competition. Corporations are using the excuse of inflation to raise prices and make fatter profits.
Two years after the Trump tax reform, there is no discernible effect on profit shifting by US multinational companies.
More than half of their non-US profits are still booked in tax havens.
