Piazza della Signoria is the central square of Florence. It is the seat of civil power with the "Palazzo Vecchio" and is the heart of the city's social life.

The square is a very popular place for those who visit Florence. Not only does it have many of the city's most iconic buildings, such as the Palazzo Vecchio, but also an open-air museum, the Loggia dei Lanzi, where sculptural groups by such important sculptors as Benvenutto Cellini and Giambologna are found.

Palazzo Vecchio itself is an important museum in the city.

The square preserves two fountains with important sculptural groups: The Fountain of Neptune, and Hercules and Cacus; in addition to the first equestrian statue of importance built in the city, the statue of Cosimo I de Medici.

A site of historical and cultural importance, a place that no one fails to go to, more than once, when visiting Florence.
