Los Bilbilicos (The Nightingales, aka La Rosa Enflorece)

This is a Sephardic folk song that appears to exist in a number of variations, like many folk songs. I uploaded it once before, played on a Mountain Ocarina. This time I'm playing a Coda EDC flute, taking advantage of the extended range to improvise a little more exuberantly. I don't know much about this Ladino musical genre, but I do know that this is a hauntingly beautiful song.

When I uploaded it before, I played over a backing track that I created using the JamStudio web site. I lost that backing track, and didn't care to buy another subscription to JamStudio (I don't know if it's still fully functional), but instead I discovered the ChordBot app for Android. This app is roughly equivalent to JamStudio in its capabilities, so I was able to build a similar backing track from memory. This is my first time working with ChordBot, but I'll definitely be using it more.

The video is a bit jerky in spots; I'm not sure why, but I can't fix it.

I listen to it again and again, even after some years.

"Hauntingly beautiful" is an apt description. Thank you for sharing this. My Coda EDC flute arrived a few days ago. You've set the bar quite high in both this selection and your playing. I appreciate both.
