I love how Anya’s strong dislike towards studying is related to her traumatic experiences instead of the cliche “kids suck/hate at school” trope. It’s adds a new layer to her personality and makes her far more fascinating than the average child character.

She finds studying traumatic yet she tries to do it for loid which shows how important it is to her to be beside him, is very sad because loid doesn't know the pain anya carries and for now is too focused on his mission to care, I'm hoping that'll be part of their character development :)

I think it's also because of her personality. Anya is very energetic and unorganized extrovert. And school is all about discipline, studying and sitting in one place

-trauma from always being sent back to the orphanage
-stress from probably always hearing everyone's thoughts while in class
-stress from knowing that if she fails with this, the world might erupt into war
-more stress from literally hearing that if she fails, Loid might put her back into the orphanage
-even more stress cuz she knows studying is hard for her because of everything
-has to keep her abilities a secret, fearing that she'll be sent back if Loid finds out Anya can read minds


Edit cuz season 2 ❤️:
-got kidnapped multiple times
-Loid almost got blown up and ded
-had to come up with something so Loid won't get killed, as a 4 YEAR OLD
-suddenly there's a weird deadly spy woman making moves on her dad

I don't really find this so relatable, at first, but I remembered that I've been homeschooling ever since the pandemic. Even today, I'm still homeschooling due to personal reasons but I find it very depressing, sometimes. So yeah, this hits harder than Yor's Speed-O-Sonic Racket Swing.
