VERY high on MSU’s coaching staff. Lot of improvement to the depth. TE & LB spots look terrific.

I know one thing, even if the talent isn’t close to the last 2 years the offense will move the ball. Why? Because J. smith actually knows how to coach offense.

Feels like the offense will be solid and if the O-line can play as a team in control they will press folks and might be able to steal a game.

The D-line and the DB group is what will tell the story of a good season or a true build year. Given a decent LB group the 3-4 hybrid could help.

5 or 6 wins seem to be possible. Which would give some great momentum to 25 and 26 class!!!

'24 sparty win-total floor: 3-4. ceiling: 5-6.

Coming from a MN fan, Rossi’s scheme is not a 3-4. It’s a 4-2-5 with a rush end. The rush end is a quicker lankier DE but will stand up.

Its gonna be alot of 1 and even 2 TE sets. Foster and Gates early. KLA and Carter is gonna be fun to watch.

The biggest sack threat last season being a linebacker, ie Brule, is not the Strength of this seasons D. It needs to be the Dline. Which will make the back end look much improved. LB's are deep.

Aug. 13th, '24 update: young, reserve o-lineman, rJohnson, is on track to play meaningful snaps in bigTen play in '24. New o-lineman, LukeN., has already shined in Aug. camp (shouted out by hcSmith).

Aug. 13th, '24 update: TE Masunas has worked his way up to as high as TE2 or TE3 rn. Our Lads, previously, had Masunas at TE4, or lower (incorrect).

Aug. '24: new Spartan Matthews is already State's best pass-coverage LB, per feedback from Sparty's coaches.

A little tired of hearing about offense Iowa. Spartans will humiliate them this season. MHO
