I would also add coming off as being ultra confident is very important as a sales person. I used to work with a guy in insurance sales that was a goof ball but he was killing it with sales then I just studied him and realized he sounded really confident and certain whenever he spoke to his clients. Confidence can take you a long way.

I usually say to my salespeople that you don’t always need to be agreeable, you need to be accurate. I’m of the opinion that sometimes the best answer isn’t the easiest to hear. We want to give an accurate and realistic estimate based on our experience.

The bottom line... It makes no difference what the sales person thinks... If I get pressured, I walk and I'm unlikely to return... Brad is giving the same old advice that makes customers uncomfortable... Stay away from this advice if you want to increase sales...
