Great overview of Girard's key ideas—thanks! This is the first time I've heard about his final, unfinished book project on environmentalism.

Insightful discussion, thanks. Deceit, Desire and the Novel (Mensonge romantique et vérité romanesque) is a tremendous chef d'oeuvre. I'd like to highlight that one needs not be a Christian to read Girard — same for his other books

What? Wait a moment. So there were non-Jews in the crowd? The apostles were Jewish. There was no such thing as a Christian in that crowd.

Girard's theory (triangular mimetics) - at the very least the expansion of said theory - is revolutionary; however, one must ponder on the state of ignorance/silence of Girard vis-a-vis how said theory could be employed by those in power positions of society for the furtherance of their agendas of power and control! That is all!! RGB-Y4 out!!!
