It's simple to understand if you think more about the tactics we were playing at the time, we were probably the best counter attacking side at the, we sat deep, defenders the edge of our box very well, especially against the big team, we were happy to let them have the ball, and waited patiently for that clear opportunity to counter attack, that moment will break down play in the edge of our box, or in midfield, we were really good at winning the ball back, and not to forget that De Gea had to be very good, the man saved lot's of impossible.

But the media kept complaining that a team of the size of Manchester United had to be controlling games more better, because we really struggle against the lesser team, team that were happy to sit back and let us have the ball, we struggled to break them down, even tho we were a nightmare for the big teams to play against.

When Ole was our manager we used to smoke the big teams. Ole had Pep’s number as we used to turn up and win in the Manchester derbies, always used to beat Chelsea at home and at Stamford Bridge, used to roll over Spurs, win against Liverpool, used to beat Arsenal and my favorite of all time the victories we had in against PSG in Paris in the UCL. He may not delivering any silverware, but his reign was absolute bananas. It's really as if Sir Alex Ferguson was actually running the team. I started watching every match again when Ole's at the wheel, something I rarely do before or since post-fergie era.
It's only a shame that he was persistently starting Fred when Fred was in terrible form. Meanwhile there was another, more capable midfielders in the roster available and desperate for more playing time.
