Hi my remote starter lock my car automatically even if the remote is inside the car, I am wondering how reset it

The remote will always lock the car doors after it starts, even if your remote starter fob is inside the car. I did this once, and locked the keys inside too, in my purse which I had put in the car while I cleared snow off and it ran from the starter remote. Never do this! Always have a set of car keys on your because it will lock the doors after it starts the car--NO WAY around this.
