I'm honestly grateful for George Lucas and the films he made. Yes even the prequels. I understand and respect the fans who do not like the Prequels, but I do not always get the same respect for liking all of the movies equally. This isn't so I can see all sides of coin, but rather its how I feel. I grew up watching Star Wars and Star Wars Episode One is what I saw in the theaters. But I remember before that I would watch the original trilogy. As a kid I wanted to be like the hero Luke and as a teen I could see how Anakin's fall to the dark side wasn't as psychologically making sense or completely compelling. No doubt to many the visual aspect of the Prequel trilogy is their saving grace, but I still enjoy all the actors that were chosen. I love Palpatine's rise to power. I love even when Anakin avenges his mother and slaughters a village of Tusken Raiders all of them and emotionally breaks down from it. Darth Vader has surely slaughtered a village because of his hatred for some reason. The truth is I can only select certain elements I love about the Prequels, but I love everything about the Original trilogy. I love the fact it is within old films we find originality and in the Prequels we get a refreshed more open take on the originality in movies. Sure you can relate it to mythologies told long ago, but its nice to see George made something new. I'm sure somewhere in J.J Abrams' new movie we will see George Lucas' name in the credits to remind us where it all started.  This is my opinion alone. I'm not asking anyone to agree. I'm simply asking for understanding.

What a surprise, most of the comments are about the original cuts. MOVE ON PEOPLE. After 18 years of whining you'd think you'd of got the message by now, Lucas prefers the what he sees as completed versions of HIS movies unfinished due to the limitations of the time. I can't see Disney/Lucasfilm disrespecting his wishes. You have more chance of the Holiday Special. I have the original cuts, I choose to watch the blu-rays. Time to move along.. move along..
