This my teaching intro for VIPKID! Just a clip that students see before they join me in class. I actually filmed in my living room and now have a specific "classroom" with all my props, good lighting (just a lamp and a big window), and a blank wall to add backdrops etc.!

Hi Nancy! Thank you for posting these videos--they helped me land a job with VIPKID! I recently posted my greeting video, but I want to make a few more changes, especially since like you, I recently updated my office to look more like a classroom, and I would like to have that included in the video. I haven't seen how to update your photos or video for you profile though...Can you tell me how you can change your photos and greeting video? Thanks!

Sorry, forgot to put this question in there as well: Do you know if substitute teaching counts as teaching experience?  If I've never taught my own classroom, but did my student teaching and have substituted at various times does that count?  I was certified at one time, but am no longer certified just because I haven't done my recertification.

Hello, Nancy! I really enjoy your videos! :)  I was wondering if you have any advice for me - I have a student who I see 4 times a week. I have had him for a several weeks now. He was below level with his reading and speaking and for a while it seemed like he was improving. Lately, he doesn't seem to care. He is very distracted during the lessons and doesn't put any effort in. It is like pulling teeth. I submitted a ticket recently due to some unacceptable, rude behavior during a lesson. Today was an assessment and he started out doing well but seemed to stop trying about half way through. He continues to book classes with me (or I'm guessing his parents keep booking the classes). I don't know how to help anymore. I don't think he's getting anything out of the lessons. I suggested when I submitted the ticket that he tries other teachers since maybe he is just tired of having me all the time but yet he still books me multiple times a week. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance! :)

I have a quick question.  During the application process right now, and I'm only seeing one space to put my teaching experience.  If I have teaching experience at more than one place, will there be another spot for that after I click on "Save" or will that be the only place I have to fill in my teaching experience?  Help!

Hi, I will be doing my intro video soon but I keep getting emails saying if I don’t do it soon than my account may be deactivated. I’m not in an area where I can film so I have to wait. Will they freeze or deactivate my account? I don’t want to loose my this job.

I tried to change my intro video on the app but it made it sideways which is odd because when I uploaded it on the portal on my laptop it was correct. Any experience with this? Thanks!!!
