Look closely at the wind needle on the ND. Near perfect tailwind all the way round to the headwind within the last 50 foot. Great decision to go around!

Was just writing an exam today that asked about what pilots should do in a situation where they get a sudden unexpected increase in airspeed on approach. This video demonstrated it perfectly. Nice job.

Love the quick decision to just go around knowing she was just gonna float and float. Tailwinds are killer especially when they’re not advertised on the ATIS and you’re expecting a slight headwind or crosswind.

I've had a similar experience in the canary islands. Lanzarote was experiencing a sea breeze at 200ft. but at 100ft the strong prevailing winds were at a complete opposite direction. Tailwind of 15kts the whole way down and at 100ft it became a 20kt headwind. Tried two approaches but could not get stable. Diverted and came back an hour later

Little high over Threshold but due to sudden TAS shoot up aircraft ballonned....can be considered as Balked Landing since it was go around from very low feet or low energy Go-around !!

I had a pretty much the same landing experience a month ago. Had to go around.

I was on a flight today from Mexicali to Mexico City, and there was a very similar situation. We actually even had a brief touch down, after which almost immediately they pushed the TOGA-button. I think the touch down took too long time, after flaring the plane never really descended anymore like they were planning, just hoovering over the runway. Even though there was some difficult wind conditions, I have to say I think the approach was a little lack luster as well. So was the second one, even more so, but then they just decided to land the plane...

What's the flight information, what name of the airlines are you flying in from and where is the wind coming in from and wind speed?

Lucky passengers. I always pray for a go around when I am travelling by plane. I have only had one go around so far. And zero water landings! I am so unlucky. I got some circling above an airport once. But that was not fun at all. Just made me nauseous. I want a go around followed by a water landing.
