Riding on the best road in the World - Transfagarasan - with a Yamaha R6

Short motorcycle riding clip around Brasov, Romania.

I am one of the members of the big motorcycle family in Brasov.

My actual bike is an Yamaha R6 2007. I sometimes ride with some of my friends and you can see there some Yamaha XT, Suzuki GSXR or GSR. My old bike was a Honda Hornet 2005.

My wife and I visited Romania for our honeymoon and we drove this road in a terrible Opel Astra rental car with an automatic transmission. I drove the wheels off that thing, wishing the entire time I was in anything else... Camaro, Corvette, Porche... anything but an Astra... but it was amazing just the same. Thanks for the video reminder of this incredible place.

Romania... What an amazing place! You really don't expect to see such beautiful views, while driving up those pretty flat roads away from Bucharest airport. We went in winter time, so unfortunately you couldn't drive all the way up and over the mountain.
We stayed in the ice hotel, which is built every year at Balea Lac (2:00 in your video) we still had a good laugh up there, and got dragged around the frozen lake at speed, in a dinghy being pulled by a Skidoo! 😄 I really look forward to a summer visit, so I can either hire a motorbike, or a decent car, depending in who I'm with. 😁👌

I've never been to Transfagarasan or Transalpina and I do believe it is awesome, but it seems that all the motovlogs (there are quite a few) are about Transfagarasan. Is the only place in Romania worth mentioning? Aren't there any other places to go and vlog about, especially on a bike? I for one, if I'll ever plan a trip to Romania, it will be on a bike and a month long, minimum.
