Bad image to show, the dogs were frightened, not aggressive.
I learnt canine body language and stress signals from an amazing, modern trainer with a Masters in Canine Science. I tell family and friends to ignore my dog when he's looking stressed, but everyone knows better, everyone thinks they know dogs and they completely ignore me. Just by observing him I can see his stress levels escalating, so in the end I have to separate him with something nice to work on, because people won't do as I ask. I've had strangers just bend down and stroke his head onva walk even though he has a yellow lead slip that says "nervous dog". It's people that are the problem in the majority of cases. They think t they have a right to do what they want over what the animal wants and needs. You can see it with all the incidents in National Parks, drive through animal parks etc. People just blase getting too close to wild animals etc for selfies. It's becoming a case of self selection for some individuals. But the animal always gets the blame.
