I have some questions: is all the hand waving and weird footwork meant to have an hypnotic effect on the opponent? or is it just to clear bugs from the air?
also, does each school have their own official sound effects? or is it freely used? I head one of the guys here did a baby laughing effect while throwing his slaps. is it for confusing the opponent?
although loogie lad has the most noticeable sound effect. he should get his throat checked.

I would say keep training techniques and drills on one another the form kata what ever people call them are useless there were times in my American kenpo training now I got my 2nd degree black belt but what would happen is my sparring ability got better but had to take two steps back to work on kata because I needed it for my next belt test it wasn't until part 2 of my black belt test training for it that i could work on my fighting skills look i would of had things sooner if it wasn't for devoting time to kata same thing with my taekwondo i got 4th degree black belt now my Japanese jiujitsu black belt i got i able to focus on my techniques and now with my and working on judo training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu where I'm a purple belt I can focus on drilling techniques and rolling your practices are on a physical person and you learn where you are also weak at and what to work on look kata with exception of weapons kata because those have a use the regular kata should be the last thing taught and this is coming from Chuck Liddell's former coach who has a black belt in kempo I know a different version but very similar look until you learn how to throw be thrown how to land and how to strike down with the physical application then focus on forms
