This truly was one of the greatest runs in all of sports history. To sit in dead last place in the league after new years and then go on to win the stanley cup is nothing short of magical. Theres no other way to describe it.

Boston actually tried convincing the country that cup meant more to them. Basically so they could win 3 championships in Boston in a year. A feat New York has never done. That cup made a lot of grown men cry, me being one of them. Gretzky passing the puck to Yzerman, Being swept in the first round after winning the presidents cup. Whatever heartbreak you felt after every hockey season all came to the surface when they lifted that cup. For me personally the saddest part was my dad dying before the 2019 season. So I wasn’t able to celebrate it with him. I wonder how Boston would have felt if prominent Cardinals fans publicly said that World Series meant more to St Louis than Boston. The best part of all was knocking Boston fans down a peg. Boston hasn’t won a championship after 2019. We opened the gates of success for Boston in 2002 and we shut it in 2019.
