This is absurd. Brownstones are ALWAYS veneer. Nobody in their right mind would build a house of brownstone because it's too soft. The building would collapse before it ever got built.

Every brownstone you see is a brick house with a brownstone veneer.

I'll tell you what the REAL scandal is. Brownstone is famous for flaking off the front of the building, so many brownstones have been "restored" using brown cement instead of real brownstone. THAT'S the real scandal. This video is silly.

At first, I wanted to say "I actually like this, becuase the Brownstone look is a lot nicer than plain brick buildings, and the veneer isn't TOO obvious"


However, then I realized that this is probably some trick that some shady real estate broker will use to increase your rent by 50%. So ehhh.

That’s not even real stone except for the blocks across the window surfaces and maybe the ledges it’s a high-end form of clay that was created at the time for those buildings at that time...
