You described the neutral throttle weirdness perfectly. My CLX-700 does the same thing. In town, I switch between eco and sport as often as I shift! Oc!

Main Street Cycle has a tune that fixes the issue. You can even order a brand new ecu with the the tune already installed and you get to keep your original.

I attended a CFMOTO demo day about a month ago. I was able to ride 6 different bikes and went on 7 rides. I disliked this bike the most because of the throttle. It was very twitchy. The rides were about 25 minutes each so I was able to switch through every mode on the bike. The IBEX 800 is a much smoother bike which I'm assuming shares the same engine, I liked the IBEX so much I took it out for a second ride. There must be an issue with tuning on the 800NK.

The neutral throttle has something to do with their tuning, it happens when you use cruise control, too. I've had my 800NK for 700 miles now

The throttle issue could be because of a sensor, in my Trident 660 it was a defect that was corrected by changing an air hose for a sensor and that did the trick. Maybe this bike needs service about something similar and that fixes it. I am not sure that reprogramming will correct that issue, reprogramming will probably correct responsiveness and power but not that jerkiness.

When I test rode it, my hands are smaller and blinker was perfect. I think it's a "smaller to bigger " rider problem for the controls. if you have big hands, you will struggle.

CFMoto's making KTM engines for their 790.. hoping this one's not getting the unfortunate camshaft situation from KTM

So low price price need for a tune makes it equal to the cost of a Suzuki GSX 8S. Considering Suzuki has a long history of reliability and CF Moto is a newer Chinese brand, it is a hard pass for me. You get what you pay for, right?

I definitely prefer a cable throttle, I hate when some computer program haunts a vehicle and opposes the rider or driver.

Calimoto is not useful in the UK. I will cancel my subscription when it expires. You can't detour when there is a roadblock. The app will reroute back to the same place with the roadblock.

Does this have the “self-detonating” KTM engine? If so, I would rather something reliable.
