AC Valhalla Traitor: Stench of Treachery | How to Find the Grantebridge Traitor Who Betrayed Soma

This gameplay walkthrough from ‘Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (AC Valhalla)’ will show you how to conduct the investigation and find out the Traitor of Grantbridge. This walkthrough will guide you through the Grandbridgescire quest 'A STENCH OF TREACHERY' and will show you how to look for evidence in Grantebridge and swamps and where to find the yellow longship in the swamps.

Who betrayed Soma in The Stench of Treachery?
The Stench of Treachery quest tasks you with discovering the Assassin's Creed Valhalla traitor in Grantebridgescire, and figure out who has betrayed Soma. This is one of the longer quests in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and you can easily spend a lot of time with it, depending on how determined you are to find out who betrayed Soma. Choosing the correct traitor has some further implications to the story too.

Who is the traitor in The Stench of Treachery?
There are three people you can accuse of betraying Soma, and they're her three closest allies; Birna, Lif, and Galinn. There's reason to suspect each of them, but only one is the actual traitor.

Accusing Galinn results in a cutscene where Soma slits his throat, but she is ultimately thankful for you finding the traitor. Since you got the correct suspect, Birna will also ask to join your camp at Ravensthorpe, so you can add her to your raiding team.

You can find this out for yourself by questioning each of the three suspects, where you'll find out that Lif had his yellow paint stolen. Head down the escape tunnel Soma dug inside the longhouse and you'll find drops of yellow paint throughout, all the way to an inlet where the invaders left their boats.

Go north-west from here to the Fens, where you'll eventually stumble upon some ambushed ships. Lif inscribed poetry on the side of each ship, so you can go through them and find Galinn's ship, which – surprise, surprise – has yellow paint on it.

Main Clue is actually in his house, after you speak to him he says that his visions mean to him that Soma is meant to help him at the top of the mountain however if you read the note in his house it actually says that Only One can reach the peak

I suspected Gallin when he was quick to kill the soldier they interrogated when Eivor wanted to get more information out of him. Then the poem referencing Gallinn confirmed it.

I spoke to everyone, including the villagers. I found the ship and killed all bandits to boot. Found a proto-templar female there too. But the quest didn’t redirect me to go to Soma. I kept looking for more clues and finally watched your video. Guess I’ll go report to Soma now. I’m too used to handholding by games. Witcher 3 is a perfect game but it does a lot of handholding. I didn't find the longship. But i had all the evidence I needed, when one of wigmund's spies was being interrogated, after the interrogation galinn just killed him without a thought and said, "he might have cursed us I can't take that chance." but then Birna said Christians don't curse galinn had this weird look on his face probably worried he was going to be found out and I knew that galinn knew that the Spy knew that he was the traitor so then that's why he killed him. Another evidence that Galin was stuck into the watch tower when me and Soma find him, and also he says that he was followed by bandits then stuck into that tower because of the wolfs .

I saw someone said that when you sneak up to Galinn ( the quest where you have to talk to each one of them to get clues ) instead of talking to him, you can hear them talking about betraying Soma and an English Soldier was there aswell I think

I suspected galinn when Soma mentioned there is a traitor among inner people
Bcoz he is the only who was found without enemy soldiers trying to kill him
By the time we find Lif, birna they were being attacked by enemies

I did everything right and accused Galinn, but she killed Birna. And Eivor didn’t even blink. I think I came across a really weird bug😂

It's easy to tell it was Gallin, when you first meet him he says he had his yellow paint stolen, then when you go to his house he says he had nothing to do with yellow paint. In his house you can find a suspicious letter saying that only one person can be on the peak. Asking around town one civilian says that he saw a suspicious longship on the northern shore before the attack, where Gallin claimed to be "meditating" with nobody around
