Reviving a Forgotten Project Car - 1973 Chevy Nova - Will it Run and Drive?

I picked up a new project, a 1973 Chevy Nova four door. There isn't much good I can say about it, aside from it being cheap and mostly complete. Follow along as I take this thing in, clean it up and try to get it running and driving again without spending ANY MONEY. This is a low budget car, and will have multiple parts, so stay tuned for more progress as I transform this junker into a cool family cruiser.

Back in the mid 80s, I traded for a '74 Nova 2 door that had a built 327, TH350 tranny and straight pipes
Boy what fun that thing was!

In 83 I bought a 73 Nova for $300. It had the 307 2 barrel with a "3 on the tree" manual transmission. It had an AM radio as its only option but it was a quick and dependable little car. Have fun with yours.

I dig it, would look awesome with some black or matching body color steel wheels with hub caps. 👍🏻

Mate I'd love this car lol in the UK we don't have these cars at affordable prices and usually they're all ready fixed up and expensive but I'm starting to look at importing something over from you guys over there as it's a dream of mine to own a old American car but for now my E34 is just fine

I love those old Novas. Even the late 70s and early 80s models were cool. What was that big leak at first start? It looked liked coolant. Good luck with it! It would be great to see it back on the road.

Don't worry, you'll be spending soon enough. Still it has a rough charm. Put some Flowmasters on it and you'll be golden.
