Hilda Season 2 is just as charming as ever!

The second season of Hilda premiered on Netflix and it was a fun ride. Lovely animation, likable characters, and an interesting world to explore made for a delightful show. It did get pretty dark at times which kind of threw us off guard but it was still fun overall. We would recommend Hilda. :)

I think Hilda didn't tell her mom because she thought of her only as "a mom" maybe she thought her mom would forbid her to do anything interesting.

I was completely taken by surprise by this show. Seeing the positive reactions, I went into it skeptical because of She-Ra, but I was hooked from the get go. Really enjoyed the darker tone of the second season (there’s a legitimate body count!), and was clamoring for more at the end.

FYI, a season three hasn’t been officially announced, but there’s a 70 minute film that’s going to be released that I assume will conclude the cliffhanger ending.

You write I absolutely love season 2 despite the fact it was darker than the previous season but I got to tell you the one thing that caught me off guard was the last episode ended with a huge cliffhanger I was shocked that happened

Oh dear me were do I begin.

This is generally one of the few good shows out there now of days. Most of the time I watch old stuff so glad to be able to watch something new with very little grievance. The new season was delightful with a bit of terror and I'm for it. Alfie is also my favorite of the group but so is the Great Raven so I'm sad we didn't see more of them. I did like seeing the Lindwurm again along with the Lost tribe, they actually made me burst out laughing with their little battle. My favorite episode was the Deer Fox one, I WANT a full grown deer fox as a pet now they are so pretty and majestic. And that closer, dang that's how you set hype. I personally like a good cliffhanger and look forward to a Changling plot.

It looks like that seen with the big battle and coming back from death is from the Viking mythos of Valhalla. Where if Warriors who had died in an honorable way that appeases the gods, the Valkyries wisk the souls away to the highest honor, where they eat, drink and fight each other for all eternity. Basically Nordic fight club that every Viking knows about. Sounds fun.

I love Hilda! Season two was great. I really enjoyed the Twig episode - it nearly had me in tears. I was sad that we didn't get to see the Raven in this season though. Anyways, awesome video you two!

This season really surprised me. Everything was just so interesting and just pleasant but also very dark. Seeing people die was a huge surprise and having the whole thing end in a cliffhanger really hurt. But overall I liked it and I want to see more.

I feel like this show is very underrated overall. But I'm happy that there's enough people around the world enjoying it as much as I do for what it is and the style it embraces (both visually and storytelling/lore)

The season finale was based on the fifth book, and that book already had the storyline about Hilda and her mum, so I think what they were trying to do was give that storyline more buildup throughout the season, but it may have resulted in it feeling too drawn out.

Her mum is also less tolerant of her adventures in the books, so Hilda's lying made more sense there.

I love the episode with the Vikings. What makes it really stand out for me other than the balls it took for them to have them killed and revived, was that it's the first time to my knowledge in an animated show, especially for younger viewers, where the Vikings were not portrayed with horned helmets. As a history buff, that show gets a big gold medal for breaking that stupid mold. Sure, the weapons aren't accurate, but I'll take that over horned helmets any day. Plus seeing David act uncharacteristically fearless is a hoot.
