Nice project! This reminds me that I definitely don't play with my 2600 near enough!

There is probably enough capacitance between the PCB holes to make the timing work because you should have some value of capacitance there. It's probably just right. Nicely done!

I have been thinking of this for years :-) thanks for sharing Peter, another great construction / idea.

a great device - good of them to release it under CC license.

Think i'd probably fit ZIF sockets to the PCB myself as it would help prevent wear/tear on the board & chips

Brilliant, best video yet! Do you mind letting us know who you used to get the PCB printed up from the gerbers?

Very nice video Peter. This is the kind of project I really enjoy. I even have a 2600 or two that need to come out of storage for cleaning and checking out. I may have missed your saying it, but did you order from a PCB house using the gerbers or did you purchase the kit? Thanks for motivating me to play with the old 2600.

Peter, one more question :)! Now I'm trying larger games like you did in this video. I've a TL866ii (xgcu) and am trying to program a texas instruments GAL20V8B chip, so far not a success... it keeps informing pin2 is not detected, for all 10 pcs I've got. Which similar model you chose as an alternative to your brand/model. The programmer works for eproms fine, no pin error. Thanks again for your time!

Nice video, question? Can the chips also be programmed using a pickit-3 programmer, or is that just for pic chips?

I have an XGecu programmer. I can program the AMTEL PLD (F22V10C) but the AMD PALCE20V8H is giving me problems. I tried to select "GAL20V8B" as seen in the video but no dice. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!

Hello Peter, thanks for the instructions! Hey can you or anyone else tell me the main differences on the "Activision" version of this pcb, available at pixels past? Thanks!
