Red Heart has been doing easy start from wayyy back when they were under Coats & Clark. Ik lots of ppl don’t like Red Heart SS but it’s quite durable and gets softer wash after wash. (No affiliation w/them) just love 90%of their yarns.

I love the idea of keeping the box and placing the yarn on the ends. So simple and a great idea. 😀

I tried that border but with material and just stitched it - for my boy - and it worked because it was 4ply (3mm hook), but I must say your blanket looks great ...and I've seen a blanket where they left the ends like a "fringe"...and I thought that was interesting and i would try that next time i've got so many ends to work in.

If it's 200g 358yards per ball, then is it double knit? Or what is the recommended hook size? I can never get it right when I hear about people talking about worsted weights etc. So I sort of wait to hear what the hook size is to sort of "translate" it to what our local yarn stores stock. I'm a double knit fan (4mm crochet hook)

I love your scrappy blanket. I think the dark stripes in it is beautiful. I love the colours (even though you say come doesn't make sense) I love it. It looks like a c2c blanket??

I keep hoping that Michaels will start carrying the Basix yarn. Nice to have an inexpensive soft yarn that comes in lots of colors.
