Just for clarification, it's great to film yourself or take photos in cool lighting, I also like doing this from time to time but the majority of the time it's just raw lighting with many people around where I will look how I really do.
I'm into keeping it real.

I get your point, and some influencers definitely do tricks to enhance their look.

But "filming raw" on a mobile camera does not give a more real representation then an expensive professional camera. It is actually the other way around.

A pro camera will have way more detail, sharpness, resolution, allowing it to capture small details on your muscles like your veins and skin texture (and acne) Those details are not fake.

It will also be way better at capturing the real dynamic range of the light in the room, allowing it to capture small shadows between muscles. Those shadows are not fake.

A mobile camera have very bad details, and light range, and the footage will look blurry, smudged and flat.

People are used to mobile footage so maybe it is more relatable to what they could film themselves, but it is not more real then a pro camera. It is less real.
