To all those saying it’s wrong to sleep lying on operated hip. The reason that it is better is because the hip is held in its socket if you’re lying on it. If your lying with the bad hip up and you move that leg in front or behind you it creates unsupported torsion on the joint which can dislocate it.

Weird...its the opposite...ive just been operated ...to sleep on the side it is adviced ( there are loads of articles on Google) to sleep on unoperated side and the pillows between legs will prevent crossing...sorry but your advise is dangerously wrong....Do not sleep on operated side!

What are you talking about. Doctors put me to turn to the side after 3 days of being operated on the side of the unoperated leg with a pillow between my legs

Either you got some wording wrong or you actually don't know what you're talking about. Some of what you've said is the exact opposite of what I had a surgeon, orthopaedic and a couple doctors tell me is okay qnd not okay after hip replacement, DO NOT SLEEP ON THE OPERATED SIDE, hell it's not even advisable to sleep on either side for a couple weeks because of dislocation. mainly told to sleep on the back with a pillow between the legs to stop crossing or rolling.
