I grew up listening to the soft rock music of Bread in the 70's & had their albums. Love David Gates voice. He has one of the most soothing & mellow voices. They had so many hits such as "Make It With You", "Everything I Own", "Baby I'm-a Want You", "Diary", "Lost Without Your Love", "It Don't Matter To Me", "The Guitar Man", "Sweet Surrender" & "Aubrey". In 1978, Gates enjoyed success as a solo artist with the hit singles "Goodbye Girl" (from the movie The Goodbye Girl) & "Took The Last Train".

Longer songs didn't get radio time back then. Bread was one of a kind group. I always wished it was longer too. Now that my husband has passed away it just makes me cry.

Years ago I saw Bread and this was their closing song. They projected Stars across the roof of the amphitheater. It was a lovely way to end the concert.
