Vectors can be moved around, in any space R^n, two vectors need not have the same "support" as you term it, to be collinear. The only required conditions are:
1) a=Kb, where a and b are the collinear OR parallel vectors.
2)If two vectors are parallel OR collinear their coefficients(suppose a= xi+yj+zk then x, y, z are the coefficients) cannot be compared. Please be careful with what you put up on the internet.
