Picking involves going out and finding the products on a shelf and bringing them in to prepare to send to a customer. It's helpful to combine multiple orders in one and have a clear picture of where to find items so you don't waste time going out and coming back multiple times or hunting for products in a huge warehouse.

Packing involves putting the products in a box or other container to be shipped in. Again, knowledge is power here. Knowing which size of container to use and how many products can be safely stored in a single container will help speed up the packing process and reduce the amount of inventory damaged in transit.

Shipping involves getting products to customers. Selecting the best carriers, tracking packages, and emailing customers when their package is on its way are all great ways to improve customer service and make sure deliveries go smoothly.
