Rudy Giuliani disbarred in New York

Rudolph Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, federal prosecutor and legal advisor to Donald Trump, was disbarred in the state on Tuesday after a court found he repeatedly made false statements about Donald Trump's 2020 election loss.

The decision was handed down by a New York appeals court in Manhattan.

The court ruled that Giuliani be "disbarred from the practice of law, effective immediately, and until the further order of this Court, and his name stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in the State of New York."

Giuliani has already had his New York law license suspended for false statements he made after the election.

My father, F. Lee Bailey, was disbarred in FL by a vindictive bunch of insiders who resented his success. Then the MA bar joined hands in the charade. Think about this…. A group of peers who are not your equal, who you have probably beaten at trial, who are political schmoozers, sit in a room and decide to deprive you of your license to earn a living. No jury, no court, unless a bunch of kangaroos qualify. If you are an attorney and don’t toe the party line, they will get you. This is a BS charge against Giuliani. He has a right to his opinion. He has a right to free speech, but not a right to exercise those rights and keep his law license.
