NEET 2024 Results: NTA To Recheck Results Of 1,500+ Students Awarded Grace Marks In NEET-UG
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a re-evaluation of results for over 1,500 NEET-UG candidates who were awarded grace marks. This decision follows allegations from NEET aspirants about mark inflation, which led to a record 67 top ranks, including six from a single exam center. In response, the Education Ministry has established a four-member panel, chaired by a former UPSC chairman, to review the grace marks. The panel will submit its recommendations within a week, and the affected results may be revised accordingly. Despite these allegations, the NTA has denied any irregularities, attributing the higher scores to changes in NCERT textbooks and grace marks for lost time during the examination.

जिस तरीके से नीट के अधिकारी सार्वजनिक मंच पर आकर जिस तरीके से बयान बाजी कर रहेहैं उसे देखकर कतई नहीं लगता है कि उन्हें 29 लाख परिवारों की कोई फिक्र है. उनका जवाब ऐसा है कि कोई हल्ला मचाने की जरूरत नहीं है सिर्फ और सिर्फ 1500 बच्चो को तो बोनस दिया है। असली खेल तो दूसरा है हजारों बच्चो के 650 से ऊपर नंबर ऐसे ही नहीं आये है।‌

Only in developing 3rd rate Indian education system are grace marks awarded for not attempting a question.
Top education boards around the World do not award grace marks for such.

Marks are awarded for the working shown towards reaching the correct answer. Only to the level of working completed.

There is a lot of corruption going on at all levels that needs to be addressed.

In the medical or engineering field. A student qualified not knowing the basics. Can lead to lives being put at risk.

This is why we are see increasing number of infrastructures, such as bridges, buildings, walls, flyovers collapsing and more, , Not just from cutting corners using substandard materials to save money.

Doctors calculating wrong doses, misdiagnosis, failure to understand reports, or draw correct conclusions.

SUGGESTED SOLUTION.

Results should be published in transparency. Showing how the examiner arrived at the marks s/he did, for the question. Examiners are given model answers as a guide to aid in awarding the marks. So there can be no discrepancy.
